Winter visit left the place deserted, with some facilities closed. Limited kitchen pans and no scrubbing brush made cooking a challenge.

Stayed near the Fatman Barge, surrounded by wildlife. Rooms were clean and comfy. LOVED the kayaking and walks. Staff were super friendly. Would definitely come back. Photos don't do justice. Cheers! .

Bring your own food as there are limited purchasing options. The lack of information on facilities beforehand, inconsistent showers, and expensive rates were disappointing. the cozy fireplace and comfortable bed were highlights. The wilderness surroundings and the meals offered were superb, despite the need for some updates.

We loved the peace and quiet of the area, and it allowed us to disconnect from our busy lives.

The drive to the cottages was long and on gravel roads, which could be challenging for some vehicles. the river crossing ferry was quite expensive.
