The dining at Tannin Hotel was a foodie's dream – think succulent steaks and local culinary delights. the Pieman River cruise on the Arcadia II was a highlight, offering a journey through ancient forests with informative commentary from the skipper. the Sweetwater Cruise was equally fantastic, showcasing the beauty of the area.

Winter visit left the place deserted, with some facilities closed. Limited kitchen pans and no scrubbing brush made cooking a challenge.

I loved the quaint and rustic feel of the accommodation in the Tarkine Wilderness. The spacious cottage had all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay, and the large windows offered beautiful bush views. Despite the remote location, the cottage had good heating and a nice shower. The bed was a bit firm, but it was large and cozy. The friendly and helpful staff made sure everything ran smoothly during my stay. I also enjoyed the great cruise along the Pieman River and the entertaining guide. I had a fantastic experience and would recommend this hotel.

Located in a peaceful area away from tourists, with walking trails nearby. Hotel offers dinner and continental breakfast options. Limited dinner menu, but food is good. Bring your own supplies as there are few options to purchase nearby. Gas heater provided in comfortable chalet for chilly evenings.

The location was stunning; we were surrounded by a beautiful forest and river. We enjoyed kayaking up the river, and the views were breathtaking. the cottage we stayed in was well-appointed and very comfortable. We loved the peace and quiet of the area, and it allowed us to disconnect from our busy lives.

The drive to the cottages was long and on gravel roads, which could be challenging for some vehicles. the river crossing ferry was quite expensive.
