I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a balcony where I could relax and enjoy the view. The location couldn't have been better, right in the heart of the city and just a short walk from the lagoon. The hotel also offered great amenities, including free Wi-Fi, a shared kitchen, and a lounge area where I could unwind after a long day. I was impressed with the level of comfort and quality service provided at this hotel.

Small room size.

I recently stayed at Global Backpackers for a few nights on my trip to Cairns. The location is fantastic, right across from the lagoon. The Wi-Fi was excellent and the room and bathroom were clean. I loved that some dorms had their own bathroom, which meant the shared one was usually empty. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the utensils I needed, and there were plenty of free condiments and tea/coffee. The rooftop seating area offered a beautiful view of the Ferris wheel and the sea. The reception staff were friendly and experienced, making my stay even better. The laundry facilities were good and the rooms had AC, fans, and lockers with plugs for each bed.

I strongly recommend this hotel.

I had an amazing stay here! Everything was so convenient and within walking distance, right in the heart of everything! The lagoon at just a stone's throw away from the entrance was my go-to place to cool off, which was perfect! The staff was so attentive and accommodating, always making sure my room was clean and tidy, and the laundry facilities made it so easy to keep up with my wardrobe. I also appreciated the tours/ticket assistance and the shared kitchen which was never too busy and had everything I needed!

The location of the hotel is ideal for a weekend getaway, as it is right at the esplanade and close to all the activities. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with fans and air-conditioning. The shared terrace offers a great view and the walk-in fridge is a convenient facility.

There were occasional disturbances at night when fellow travelers were talking loudly near our room. However, this was only a minor issue and the other nights were peaceful.

The kitchen area, with its huge walk-in fridge, was perfect for preparing meals. The big TV chill out area and beautiful balcony overlooking the pool and esplanade were great places to relax. I particularly liked my private room, which was perfect for some peace and quiet. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making me feel welcome throughout my stay.

One small drawback was the wifi, which didn't work in my room on the top floor. However, it was only a minor inconvenience as I could still access it in the main areas.

The staff was helpful and accommodating during my Thanksgiving stay. I appreciated the nice complementary facts offered in the common areas, and the great location close to local attractions. the terrace and facilities were also quite nice and well-kept.

The room for four people was extremely small and uncomfortable, with barely any space to move around. the air-conditioning was too close and too noisy, making it impossible to get a good night's rest.

The location right in front of the lagoon is perfect for chilling in the sun and swimming. Lovely restaurants and night market nearby. The kitchen terrace offers a great view of the esplanade. Each floor has a sofa area outside, providing extra space. Staff are exceptional, informative, and friendly. Facilities are clean and well-equipped, with a huge cool room for storing cold food.
