Loved our room near the heated pool with sea views, cool watching the ferries. Lots nearby like the supermarket and massage spots. the staff were top-notch and everyone on the island was super welcoming. Chilled out by the seafront pools - kids loved it. the only bummer was the broken gate to the rooftop pool since wanted to check it out, but didn't spoil the vibe 🌴.

pros clean rooms - fantastic location right next to the ferry. saw wallabies on the rocks by our balcony. great selection of pools. staff were super friendly and accommodating.

Breathtaking Ocean Views - Waking up to the ocean views from the balcony felt like a scene from a movie. With wallabies coming up so close, it was like having my own personal wildlife show right at my doorstep.

We stayed at a waterfront apartment at this hotel and were thrilled with our ocean-facing views. the spacious apartment had modern furnishings, great AC, and a well-equipped kitchen and laundry. the rooftop pool was a nice touch, and the cute wallabies that visited our balcony were a delightful surprise. Customer service was impeccable, making our stay even more enjoyable. Cons: Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

the stunning sea views from our room overlooking the bustling harbor were jaw, dropping. the spacious 2, bedroom unit with a fabulous kitchen and cozy covered patio made for a super comfortable stay. the heated pool by our room was perfect for a relaxing swim, while the other pools provided endless fun, especially for the kids.

We spent hours playing in the pool and enjoying the activities together. the Kids Club was a hit with our children, keeping them entertained while we relaxed. The convenient onsite restaurant made meal times a breeze too. Cons: For dads it would be great to have more child-friendly cutlery.

Despite some maintenance issues, the Grand Mercure Apartments Magnetic Island had a stunning ocean view and great location in Nelly Bay. the managers were accommodating and addressed our concerns promptly. With some updates, this place could truly shine as an eco-friendly beachfront retreat.

Luckily, staff were lovely despite room issues. In need of TLC, but the new owners are on it. Noisy mornings, but the stunning view made up for it. A mix of highs and lows, yet my eco-conscience was happy with the locale. All in all, a memorable experience amidst a backdrop of conservation efforts that I can appreciate as an environmental scientist and surfer from Australia.

The decorations reminded me of my seaside hometown, with lovely nautical touches and cozy sitting areas perfect for us seniors. Accessibility was top-notch, making it easy for us to get around and enjoy the peaceful ambiance. Cons: Better vacation for seniors: Improved assistance from the children working there.
