The Great Central Hotel in Glen Innes was a delightful surprise. the old-school charm of the rooms, cleanliness, and comfortable beds made for a cozy stay. the central location allowed for easy exploration of the town with fellow guests. Despite some breakfast hiccups, the staff were friendly and welcoming. the relaxation facilities, like the guest lounge and outside verandah, added to the overall enjoyment. Nearby landmarks, such as the Land of the Beardies History House Museum and the Australian Standing Stones, provided a unique insight into the local culture and history, enhancing our family bonding experience.

Classic country feel with excellent service, comfortable rooms, cosy coffee shop, varied restaurant menu at reasonable prices, and a well-appointed bar. 3 fireplaces keep it warm even in freezing temperatures. Highly recommended and will definitely return.

The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of town, right next to shops and cafes. Guests can enjoy a lovely breakfast in the local cafe around the corner, which offers a nice start to the day. the hotel has a beautiful veranda with lovely views, where guests can relax and unwind.

One downside of the hotel is the lack of TVs in the rooms, although there is a shared lounge available for guests.
