The hotel has a lot of character and charm that adds to the experience of staying there. The wide verandas offered great views and allowed for a nice breeze to flow through. The continental breakfast was enjoyable and provided good value. the hotel's central location made it easy to explore the nearby area and enjoy the nearby Bowling Club.

The hotel is in need of some maintenance and renovation work. Some areas of the hotel were looking tired and showed wear and tear.

The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, with modern amenities. Guests enjoy a generous continental breakfast with a variety of options to choose from. The hotel also features a lovely balcony where guests can relax and enjoy a beverage.

The staff service can be lacking at times, with some guests experiencing surly or passive-aggressive interactions.

It's also worth mentioning that the hotel is gradually being refurbished, with modern bathrooms and a nice verandah outside. Additionally, the breakfast provided is delicious and generous.

While all aspects of this hotel were satisfactory, there is room for improvement in terms of the water pressure in the shower.

I had a fantastic stay at Hydro! The history of the property was absolutely captivating, and I loved the old world charm that radiated throughout. The comfortable ambient parlour, complete with a cozy fireplace, was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The restaurant served delicious meals, and the bar was a great place to spend the evening. The complimentary continental breakfast had a wide variety of options to choose from. The location of the hotel was excellent, and the price was reasonable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay with a touch of charm. I had a wonderful experience at Hydro and would gladly return in the future.
