we went for the murder mystery night so i was glad that the room was on site. the tower shower was lovely! quiet, views when walking around the castle. pretty sitting areas. staff very pleasant. it was a really cool venue, its a nifty idea and can definitely see how this would make a great stay during other times.

From exploring the dragon cave to watching fire performers, it was lit! Plus, taking cool pics and chilling at the park made us feel like royalty.

We wished there was more late-night entertainment for party animals like us.

Loved free access to the castle and the shows, as well as the polite and helpful staff. Nighttime grounds access was a highlight in this unique stay inside the castle walls, offering a spacious and comfortable suite for my kids and me. Despite a weak shower pressure, our relaxation in the garden area and exploration of nearby landmarks like Mount Warrenheip and Kirks Reservoir Park made for memorable family bonding moments.

We had a fantastic time during our stay at Kryal Castle Ballarat Motel. The atmosphere was magical, and there was so much to see and do, especially for children. Our room had a beautiful view from the bedroom window and was luxuriously comfortable. We can't wait to come back with our other grandchildren in the future. we highly recommend this hotel.

our honeymoon trip was everything we hoped for and more. staying in a real castle at Kryal Castle surpassed our expectations. the medieval atmosphere and comfortable room made for a truly unique and enjoyable experience. highly recommend.

Staying in a castle was a unique experience. Enjoyed exclusive access to facilities with my family, especially beneficial for my neurodivergent children. Friendly staff and ample parking. Loved exploring the maze, playground, moat, and the drawbridge entrance. Will definitely return for another trip.

The activity of sword training made me feel like I was preparing for a medieval battle, with the knights teaching me their techniques and strategies. It was a thrilling experience that made me feel like a brave warrior ready to defend the castle.

Noisy neighbors.

The complimentary breakfast and parking was a lovely touch, saving us some dollars. the hotel's location was perfect, situated within easy walking distance of all the main attractions. the spacious room had an incredible view of the surrounding area, making our stay worthwhile.

Some minor maintenance issues such as peeling wallpaper and a leaky faucet detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay. the outdated decor and furnishings were not to our taste, but did not significantly detract from our overall experience.

During my stay at the castle, I had the pleasure of exploring the unique location and its various attractions. One highlight was the free access to certain areas of the castle, even after the closing hours. I particularly enjoyed getting lost in the maze, which was a thrilling experience. Additionally, the Mountain Inn eatery on the grounds provided delicious meals and a cozy atmosphere.

There was one drawback that I must mention. It would have been nice to have some sort of breakfast provisions automatically provided, considering there is no onsite eatery.

I had an amazing time here! The location was stunning – it was on a hill overlooking the city, with gorgeous garden furniture to relax on while taking in the view. The service was fantastic, especially the manager who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The welcome drink was a lovely touch. The room had everything we needed, from ironing facilities to a flat-screen TV, and the beds were super comfy. The leisure garden area was a great place to unwind after a busy day, and the free Wi-Fi was a huge plus.

I recommend this place to everyone.
