We had a pleasant stay overall at Melbourne Carlton Central Apartment Hotel with our nine-month-old baby. the location was fantastic, just off Lygon Street and a short walk to landmarks like the Royal Exhibition Building and Federation Square. While the apartment itself had minor issues, such as peeling paint and cleanliness concerns, the spacious layout and daily housekeeping enhanced our relaxation, making it a functional base for family bonding.

The location was excellent, with several dining and breakfast options within walking distance. Our two-bedroom apartment was comfortable for four people, featuring great beds and a bathroom with a washer and dryer.

Value for money was terrible. Extra charges for parking.

The friendly staff and nearby Lygon Street, full of great restaurants, were perfect for relaxation after a long day. Just a heads up, the entry system felt a bit less secure since you didn't need a key card for the elevator, but it didn't put a damper on my experience. 😊

I recently had a stay at Carlton Central Apartment Hotel, and there were some real ups and downs. First off, the location is pretty spot-on if you’re into the vibe of Lygon Street. Plenty of eateries and shops within easy reach, which worked out well for us. The apartment, while spacious, felt like it needed a bit of TLC. The carpet was pretty worn out, and honestly, I wasn’t thrilled with how clean the place was. There were leftover bits and bobs from previous guests that made me question how well they were keeping up with housekeeping. The kitchen had the basics covered, so we could whip up simple meals. It came with cookware and kitchen utensils, plus an electric kettle for making tea, which I appreciated. But the knives were dull, and there was a bit of a shortage on the mixing bowls. It was adequate for a weekend stay, I suppose, but it wouldn’t have held up for anything longer than that. On the tech side, we had a flat-screen TV, but the connection was iffy, and the Wi-Fi was a bit of a pain. While it worked fine in the living area most of the time, it just didn’t reach the bedrooms at all, which was annoying. As for heating and cooling, the system did its job, so no complaints there. The bathroom, ah, that's another story. The shower over the bath wasn't ideal—bit of an accident waiting to happen if you're not careful. And there was this strange yellow tint to the bath, which wasn’t exactly the most inviting sight. I definitely think they could invest in some free toiletries; I only saw the bare minimum available. Ironing facilities were present, but I didn’t really need them. Still, it’s handy if you’re planning to dress up a bit. The laundry wasn't something I used, but it seemed like a good setup for anyone needing to wash clothes during a longer stay. So, while the beds were comfy, and the space was pretty generous, there were enough issues to make me think twice about returning.

Excellent Location and Spacious Apartments

I had a wonderful stay with a great location that allowed us to easily explore the city, and the spacious apartment was comfortable for our group. the well-equipped kitchen and laundry facilities were a big plus for convenience during our trip. it would be helpful if the cleaning staff changed bed linens regularly, as we were surprised to see only towels refreshed.

This place was awesome for our trip, with an unbeatable location that let us stroll to dinner and plenty of nearby breakfast spots. We loved the comfort of the two-bedroom apartment, complete with great beds and a handy washer/dryer for our convenience. Just a small note – the carpets could use a refresh, but it didn’t take away from our overall fantastic experience! 😊

Absolutely loved the spacious two-bedroom apartment! the kitchen was super handy for snacks, and having a washing machine was a real bonus. the quietness made for great sleep, and that little balcony was a nice touch. the view of the city just made it all feel cozy.

The location is fantastic, with a spacious room featuring a well-equipped kitchen and comfy bed. Unfortunately, the maintenance is lacking, with things like duct tape on the carpet and a lift that malfunctioned briefly. Still, the outdoor area and good WiFi made for a decent experience overall. Would consider returning.

I always come back because this place suits me perfectly. the staff helped me with currency tips during my first stay. With laundry, air conditioning, and 24-hour security, I have everything I need for my city trips.

We were just steps away from the epic New World Tour at Rod Laver Arena, and it was seriously lit! We partied it up both nights, bouncing around Melbourne with friends, stuffing our faces with the best eats just around the corner. Perfect spot to chill after the shows! I just wish there was a better hangout spot in the hotel for us party people—maybe a rooftop terrace or a lounge where we could vibe together after the concerts. But overall, it was an awesome time!
