we stayed at Merivale Motel, a quiet, modern gem with easy key pick-up. the room was spacious, with a lovely kitchen and a superb shower. no noisy disruptions, just a peaceful retreat with cozy towels and comfy bed.

Compared to my previous stays, this hotel was a delightful surprise. the room was spacious and well-appointed, with a modern kitchenette and a fantastic shower. the staff, although absent, were easily reachable via SMS and very helpful. the location was top-notch, being central and within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in town. the ease of check-in through the lockbox was convenient, and the underfloor heating and heated towel rail were a nice touch for colder months.

One minor improvement could be addressing a slightly musty smell in the room and ensuring thorough cleaning to remove dust.

27 degree thermal pool was a pleasant surprise, even though I looked rather silly in my swim cap. Walking tracks were enjoyable, except I got lost and had to ask for help. the taproom had a fantastic selection; I may have overindulged.

Dusty windowsills irritated my sensitive nose.

The location is great, close to everything with great pubs serving amazing food. It is also close to the main street and the center of town. The room is clean and modern, with extra linen and milk in the fridge. The bathroom is well-designed and suitable for disabled persons. The staff is friendly and the free WiFi is quick and responsive.

Some of the guests can be noisy during the early hours of the morning.

Completely refurbished rooms to a high standard. Spacious with bench for bags and table with chairs. Quiet location but a short walk to town. Good supply of toiletries, tea, coffee, and milk. Friendly and obliging staff. Would stay again.

After exploring caves and historic trails nearby, I found a quiet haven for a good night's sleep. the bed was too firm for this side sleeper, but the heated towel rails were a pleasant surprise. Despite a small oversight in room cleanliness, the convenient location and prompt manager service made for a comfortable stay. Would return for the peaceful ambiance and modern amenities.
