The beds, oh man. they were a mixed bag. One of mine was like sleeping on a hundred springs, and I woke up sore every morning. Took the chance to switch beds after a night and luckily found a better one. I’m not sure I’d recommend the mixed dorms if you’re looking for a restful night. I also had a rather bizarre roommate experience; one of my dormmates thought it was okay to sleep without covers. super awkward and honestly odd. The laundry facilities were a plus; being able to wash my clothes on-site definitely came in handy since I was on the go a lot. But there was no washing powder supplied, so I had to budget for that too. I loved that they had some daily activities, which honestly made meeting new folks way easier. But I couldn’t help but notice some noise late at night – it was hard to get to sleep when party vibes were still happening. The place definitely had character, but it’s clear that they need to put some time and money into fixing things up. Shoddy maintenance, like doors that won’t lock properly and windows that won’t stay shut, were a big bummer. It felt less secure, which is an important factor for me. So yeah, there’s a lot of potential here, especially with the friendly staff who were willing to help and organize fun stuff.
