The hostel facilities were impressively modern and clean, with well-maintained bathrooms and a cozy lounge area. the constantly accessible kitchen was a great bonus for preparing meals. the friendly staff members were diligent in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a peaceful environment for guests.

The lack of adequate ventilation in the rooms during summer made for uncomfortable nights, with noise from the surroundings seeping in through open windows. the tiny room sizes, cramped bunk beds, and occasional shortage of bathroom essentials like soap and toilet paper were notable drawbacks.

The hostel was neat and tidy all the time, with the cleaners doing their thing frequently which kept everything spick and span. the location was sweet, not as noisy as downtown, and had buses nearby as well as shops and cafes close by. the price was really fair too, great bang for your buck! 🌿Appreciated the chill TV room, coffee and kitchen vibe for relaxing, and they had a really nice leisure area. the fan in the room was a blessing in the muggy nights during summer, but it wasn't a biggie as it did the trick and cooled things down nicely.

I had a laughably cramped stay, feeling like a sardine in a tin can. the room's AC drama turned me into a sweaty mess, not the best way to wake up. And getting blinded by sunlight every time someone walked in was a practical joke on a grand scale. the bathroom antics felt like a reality show gone wrong. We stayed at a female-only hostel in Surry Hills and had a fantastic experience. the staff was helpful and provided us with a hairdryer, which was much appreciated. the room was clean and comfortable, with fresh linen and a fridge stocked with complimentary drinks and snacks. the shared bathroom was surprisingly clean, with free toiletries provided. We also enjoyed the balcony with French doors, allowing for fresh air. Meeting other travelers from different countries was a highlight, and we learned a lot about Australia from them. we had a nice and easy stay at Venus Surry Hills - Female Only Hostel - Long Stay Negotiable.
