The Empire Hotel in Deloraine is a gem. The hosts Amanda and Mark made us feel at home, with Mark leading a fascinating platypus-spotting excursion. The historic charm, comfortable beds, and delicious food made our stay memorable, despite occasional noise from passing trains and traffic. Would definitely return.

The Empire Hotel in Deloraine offered a charming blend of old-style elegance with clean and comfortable rooms. the lovely lounge dining area was a great place for breakfast and drinks, and the location was convenient. the on-site dinner was delicious, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. the nearby landmarks like Elemental Artspace and the Christmas Hill Raspberry Farm provided unique experiences for family bonding, complemented by the hotel's relaxing live entertainment and massage services. I had a delightful stay overall.

My friends and I had a blast at the hotel Triplets Entertainment and Family room! the hosts were awesome, and the daily breakfast fuelled our adventures. Plus, the nearby river where the platypus hangs out made our stay epic!

Wish there was a cool rooftop hangout spot for late-night shindigs!

Friendly staff, quiet location, welcoming bar, good meals, excellent location. Central, historic building. Café, bar, river, park nearby. Common room for socializing, platypus tour available. Fantastic restaurant, clean rooms, shared bathrooms. Self-serve breakfast exceeded expectations. Mark and Amanda, owners, are friendly and helpful. Great craft beer, friendly service, cycle-friendly, off-street parking. Deloraine is a hidden gem with a beautiful backdrop. 1-hour drive to start of Walls of Jerusalem walk.

Had a great Thanksgiving weekend at this cozy pub/hotel. the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the location was perfect for exploring the nearby river. the attached restaurant served delicious food and offered a free platypus spotting walk. Plus, the comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep.

Being an older building, some rooms were a bit cramped and lacked air conditioning, meaning electric heaters were used. the occasional train passing by and locals singing late at night could be heard, so bring earplugs.

I particularly enjoyed the funky Japanese decor in my room, adding an extra touch of style to my stay. The hotel is conveniently located in a central area, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. I was extremely impressed with the comfort and quality of this hotel.

I stayed at a hotel that was conveniently located in the center of town, close to amenities and with easy access to Cradle Mountain. The room had comfortable beds with clean and fresh-smelling linen. The staff were attentive and friendly, and there were complimentary chocolates on our pillows. The dining room was warm and cosy, offering a good selection of tasty meals at reasonable prices. I also enjoyed watching a wild platypus for over half an hour by the lovely river near the hotel.

I was disappointed to find that there was no heating option in the bathroom, which made it very cold when drying off and getting dressed.

The hotel's location in Deloraine was perfect for exploring the town and surrounding areas. We also appreciated the off-street parking, which made it easy for us to bring our bikes along and securely store them inside. The highlight of our stay was the river walk at dusk, where we had the chance to see platypus up close - an amazing experience! we had a lovely stay and highly recommend the Empire Hotel as a great base for cycling and walking adventures.
