The rooms were clean and spacious, excellent value for money with great satellite TV. the pub served delicious food without any noise disturbances. the proximity to the train station made exploring Sydney easy. the staff's friendliness and modern facilities impressed me. Nearby, Sydenham Green and other landmarks enriched family bonding and relaxation.

Upon a late arrival, the kind staff provided complimentary toasted sandwiches. the room had hotel-like feel, despite being above a pub. the bistro had a buzzing atmosphere and delicious food. the premise's cleanliness was impeccable, and the styling was great. the staff were not only friendly but also exceptionally helpful.

As a woman traveling alone, I had a wonderful experience at The General Gordon. The location couldn't have been better, with Sydenham station just across the road. It made exploring the surrounding streets and accessing public transport incredibly convenient. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, providing a peaceful sanctuary after a long day of sightseeing. The staff were responsive and attentive, even providing extra milk for my morning coffee. I felt safe and well taken care of during my stay.

The food at the bistro was delicious and the room was sparkling clean. the hotel's location was perfect, being right across the station and close to great cafes. Another plus was that the staff were friendly and hospitable.

The room service wasn't satisfactory. There was no breakfast offered and the windows couldn't be opened for fresh air.
