The hotel is located in the heart of the old town, making it convenient to visit all the sights on foot. It is also close to the train station, making it easy to connect to different areas. the hotel is surrounded by lovely bakeries and restaurants, providing plenty of options for dining.

Some guests have reported that the noise from the nearby bar and busy square can be disruptive, especially at night and in the morning.

For the price we paid, Gasthaus Hinterbruhl was a great value. The room was comfortable with a sink and mirror, and the shared bathroom was always clean. The location was perfect, just on the edge of the old town, and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

The breakfast could be improved with more variety.

I recently stayed at a charming, rustic, and authentic hotel in Salzburg for a few nights. The location was perfect, with a lovely garden just outside my charming room. The hotel's restaurant, although not open late, was a great option for relaxing nights. The hotel is conveniently located near a bakery that opens early, a church, several restaurants, and two supermarkets. The room itself was like something out of a fairy-tale, with wooden furniture, lace-table covering, and a cozy bed with fluffy pillows. The TV was the only slight oddity in the room, but it could be easily adjusted for viewing from the bed or the table by the window. The hotel's aesthetic and the nearby sights made it a truly charming and unforgettable experience. I would definitely consider coming back, especially during the winter when the city has a magical Christmas-like feel.

The check-out time was quite early at 10am, which was a bit inconvenient. finding parking near the hotel was a challenge as there was no on-site parking available.

The shared bathroom arrangement was a downside, with only one toilet and one shower for several rooms. However, they were still clean and well-maintained.

Location is excellent, room with balcony and private bathroom is spacious, view from balcony is nice. Massive room in Old Town, decorated nicely. Balcony is wonderful and platz below is not noisy. Not a standard hotel, but shower room is shared, toilet is half a story below. Personnel is just a mother and son, but it works. Building is part of 14th century city wall, adding charm. Bedroom 5 is comfortable with wash hand basin, table, chairs, and view of dome's cupolas. Location is pretty well, less than 30 minutes from train station and close to tourist places. Bathroom and toilet in separate room, shared but convenient and clean.
