The Ludwig apartment on the top floor of the castle was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was beautiful and the apartment was impeccably appointed. The wifi was excellent, and having a kitchen was convenient. Although there were some missing cooking utensils, the staff readily provided them when asked. The restaurant on-site served delicious meals, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location, with a crystal-clear lake and hiking trails, was perfect for couples or families.

Located right next to the beautiful castle and near the stunning lake, the hotel offers a unique and picturesque setting. The rooms are cozy, clean, and have chintzy lighting and paintings of the area. The meals are buffet style with a great selection of dishes, and the waiter is knowledgeable about single malt whiskies. Additionally, the hotel provides free access to the lake and free rental of pedal or rowing boats.

We recently stayed at a beautiful hotel in the mountains. the hotel has a breathtaking location, surrounded by stunning lakes and natural views. the antique furniture was well-maintained and added to the charm of the hotel, it had a classical style to it. the breakfast had a good variety, everything was fresh, and ample was provided. the hotel staff were very kind, hospitable, and helpful with the information they gave us. We enjoyed some beautiful hiking trails and exciting adventures the area had to offer.

The walls of the hotel seem quite thin with no sound insulation, and we could hear every move of the guests upstairs. This was quite disturbring.

Despite the inconsistent weather during our stay, we still found the location to be one of the prettiest places we have ever been to. We were also pleased with the warm and welcoming staff who made us feel right at home. We highly recommend taking a walk to the ruins on the island, as it is certainly worth the hour-long hike. we had a truly memorable stay at Hotel Schloss Fernsteinsee and would definitely recommend it to anyone who appreciates a storybook setting with a touch of history and natural beauty.
