Travelling on motorbikes, we found the secure parking round back of the hotel a great feature. The rooms in the quiet garden annex were simple, clean, and had a unique woven matting floor. The comfortable bed and clean surroundings made for a pleasant stay. We also appreciated the size and style of the room, with cool massive curtains for the windows. The private, gated parking was a real bonus, although my friend learned the hard way that it's best for smaller bikes on gravel.

Our stay at Hotel St James was excellent value for money. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, with blackout curtains and a spacious, clean bathroom. The location was perfect, within walking distance to the Grande Place and the War history museum. The staff were polite, helpful, and accommodating, even assisting us with parking our bicycles and providing extra pillows upon request. The communication was excellent, and the free WiFi was reliable. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Mons.

Lovely big rooms with a comfortable bed. The location was great, just a short walk to the main square and surrounded by good restaurants. The hotel was peaceful and the rooms were warm. I would recommend this hotel for a basic overnight stay.

During my Xmas stay, I appreciated the free parking available on the street and the proximity of the hotel to the main city square. The room was spacious and it provided comfortable bedding for my stay. I also liked the fact that the cleaning staff paid attention to the details, and the room was cleaned regularly.

The breakfast was not worth the value for money, and the coffee machine was always out of order which was quite frustrating. The noise from the reception area was also a bit loud, disturbing especially in the early mornings.
