Loved cycling around the castles and exploring the city on foot. The delightful terrace was a perfect spot to relax. And let's not forget the "amazing" free WiFi!

I had a truly unique experience staying at the Boatel in Ghent. The owner, Sven, was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make me feel at home. The converted cargo boat had a personal and homely feel, with beautiful decorations and family furniture. The location by the canal was peaceful and I loved sitting on the terrace in the morning and evening, enjoying the wildlife and sounds of the water. The room was spacious and comfortable, and I had the best sleeps with the window open and the gentle lapping of the water. The Boatel's proximity to the city center and train station made it a perfect base for exploring Ghent. The breakfast provided was outstanding, with fresh bread, pastries, homemade jam. I couldn't recommend the Boatel highly enough for a fabulous and welcoming place to stay in Ghent.
