Fantastic breakfast, comfortable rooms. Amazing location, close to city center but peaceful. Lovely outdoor deck, scenic view of ducks. Owner is welcoming and accommodating. Great sightseeing recommendations and helpful guidebook.

Clean and beautifully decorated converted cargo boat. Peaceful setting by the canal with wildlife. Comfortable beds and excellent breakfast with fresh bread, homemade jam, and a soft-boiled egg. Convenient location near train station and city center. An interesting and delightful place to stay.

Loved cycling around the castles and exploring the city on foot. The delightful terrace was a perfect spot to relax. And let's not forget the "amazing" free WiFi!

I absolutely adored everything about it, but if I had to find something, I'd say it was just too good, leaving me worried about getting a room next time.

I had a truly unique experience staying at the Boatel in Ghent. The owner, Sven, was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make me feel at home. The converted cargo boat had a personal and homely feel, with beautiful decorations and family furniture. The location by the canal was peaceful and I loved sitting on the terrace in the morning and evening, enjoying the wildlife and sounds of the water. The room was spacious and comfortable, and I had the best sleeps with the window open and the gentle lapping of the water. The Boatel's proximity to the city center and train station made it a perfect base for exploring Ghent. The breakfast provided was outstanding, with fresh bread, pastries, homemade jam, cheese. I couldn't recommend the Boatel highly enough for a fabulous and welcoming place to stay in Ghent.
