As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the kayaking on the river, morning yoga sessions, and the beautiful gardens. The cacao tree experience was unique and the staff were helpful and welcoming.

The location, right on the river, provided a tranquil and serene atmosphere. Watching the wildlife was a highlight, especially hearing the howler monkeys in the evenings. The yoga sessions were excellent and helped us unwind. The food, although a bit pricey, was delicious and we enjoyed the farm-to-table concept. we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel.

I had an amazing time at Cotton Tree Lodge! The jungle setting was so peaceful and relaxing. I loved falling asleep to the sounds of the howler monkeys and waking up to the beautiful birdsong. The staff were incredibly friendly and always went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The food was absolutely delicious, especially knowing that most of it was grown in their own gardens. The tours were informative and led by passionate locals who really knew their stuff. I highly recommend this lodge for a unique and memorable jungle experience.

Nothing everything was great.

We loved the beautiful riverfront location and the isolated, rural feel of this hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, and they employed local people, which was great. We especially enjoyed speaking with Armando, who explained local agricultural techniques, and our guide Pop, who was very knowledgeable about the wildlife. The comfortable and well-crafted lodges offered a true jungle experience, with stunning views of the river, hot water, and electricity. The lush green garden was full of birds and insects, and at night, we fell asleep to the soothing sounds of the jungle.

We booked for three nights in March and had a wonderful time at this true jungle lodge experience. The lodges were beautifully crafted, comfortable, and luxurious. The view of the river was gorgeous, and we enjoyed using our flashlights to spot animals at night. The garden was lush and green, filled with birds and insects. The staff was incredibly friendly and eager to share their knowledge about the local plants and fruits. We loved trying the authentic Mayan food from the nearby cafeteria and small shop. The night tour in the jungle was amazing, with our guide Armando helping us spot a variety of animals. it was a safe and welcoming experience.

We loved being right on the river, surrounded by the serene and beautiful jungle atmosphere. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of. The local employees, such as Armando the garden supervisor, added to the authentic and cultural experience. The wildlife was amazing, with howling monkeys and iguanas adding to the excitement. The meals in the main lodge were tasty, and we enjoyed the comfortable and luxurious cabana with a hammock on the porch. a fantastic stay for our family.
