I recently stayed at a charming inn located in a beautiful location. The restaurant below served delicious food, and I loved watching the big freighters moving along the canal. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room I stayed in was spacious with high ceilings and had outstanding views. The location was also convenient, with the beach and lake close by.

There was construction noise in the morning which affected my sleep.

We loved the amazing canal view from our window, watching big freighters pass through. The large, well-decorated room had everything we needed to cook small meals. The owner's helpful advice on nearby attractions was a bonus. We enjoyed exploring the small town area and shopping in locally owned stores. The farmers market on Friday was a highlight, allowing us to get fresh produce for a delicious salad. The scenic drives along the lake were breathtaking, with beautiful grand houses and well-maintained weekend homes. This hidden gem of a town offered a truly memorable experience.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, right on the canal. It offers a unique opportunity to be in direct touch with nature, as you can watch the big freighters moving along the canal. it is conveniently located close to everything in town, allowing easy access to all the activities I wanted to do. The restaurant in the hotel offers an exquisite dining experience, comparable to a five-star restaurant but at a much more affordable price of just 40 dollars per plate.

The lack of air conditioning in the restaurant made the dining experience quite uncomfortable on a hot night.

The location by the canal was fantastic. Our room at Canalside was spacious and had high ceilings, giving it a roomy feel. the bathroom was large and the kitchenette was well stocked with everything we needed. We didn't have a range, but the portable induction cooktop was sufficient. the parking was a bit of a walk, but we could use the 2-hour parking in front for easy loading/unloading. the construction on the back fire escape was a minor inconvenience, but the workers were friendly and quick to make way.

Great Food: the menu had a wide variety of options to choose from, catering to everyone's tastes. the delicious appetizers, entrees, and desserts were all top-notch.

No Air Conditioning: Unfortunately, there was no A/C on a hot night, which made our dining experience quite uncomfortable. the lack of cooling made it difficult to enjoy our meal.

We loved that they even delivered food from the restaurant to our room, which was a delightful touch. the owner went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay, helping us secure tickets to a sold-out play and arranging for free golf. the location by the canal was also fantastic, and we enjoyed the live entertainment from the restaurant below.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, equipped with all the necessary kitchen amenities. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making my experience even better. The highlight of my stay was definitely the restaurant, where I had excellent meals. The food was delicious, and I especially appreciated the local ingredients used in the dishes. The location of the hotel was ideal as well, with easy access to the boardwalk, shops, and the fascinating Welland Canal. It was interesting to watch the large freighters passing by, adding to the unique charm of the place.

The atmosphere at the restaurant was lively but not obtrusive, and the food was absolutely amazing. we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Canalside.

Huge, quiet room with recent renovations. Convenient location by the canal. Lockable bicycle storage. Kitchenette with fridge, toaster oven, sink, etc. Friendly owner. No noise from the restaurant.
