We had a wonderful time at Fairy Bay Lakehouse. Despite the gloomy weather, we enjoyed having the whole place to ourselves. The staff was extremely friendly and our room, the turtle room in the basement, was spotlessly clean. We loved the dimming lights throughout the room and the spacious bathroom with its upgraded electrical work. The public kitchen was well-equipped and convenient. The self-serve breakfast had a variety of options and was filling for our family of four. The beach was great for sandcastle building, although we didn't swim due to underwater plants. The fishing from the dock was fantastic, and we even caught many fish. The available canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats were a nice touch. The small playground and outdoor BBQ area added to our enjoyment of the property.

I loved the upgraded electrical work with dimming lights throughout. The public kitchen had everything I needed including cutlery, a fridge, microwave, and toaster oven. The self-serve breakfast had a variety of options including cereal, muffins, toast, bagels, scrambled eggs, and French toast. The beach had plenty of sand for building sand castles and the water was warm. My husband and son had a great time fishing from the dock and caught many fish. Canoe, kayak, and paddle boats were also available to use with life jackets.

Not one thing.

The location was stunning, right by the water, with a private beach and free canoe, kayak, and pedal boat rentals. The rooms were clean and peaceful, with ridiculously comfortable beds. I loved the convenience of having a fridge, microwave, and toaster oven, and the common rooms were perfect for unwinding with games or a good book.

The check-in process was impersonal and we didn't receive much information. The rooms had some issues, including difficult-to-open doors and no shower curtain in the bathroom.

We also enjoyed the common rooms for games and reading. We would definitely stay here again.
