Merrill House impressed me with its fantastic staff and interesting decor. the check-in process was smooth, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. the extra touches, like the wifi password inside a fortune cookie and the selection of pillow spray, made the stay even more enjoyable. the breakfast was amazing, and one of the highlights was the complimentary Eggs Benedict. the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely return.

my recent stay in picton was a delight, but merrill inn made it even better. the staff was incredibly friendly and the location was so convenient. the bed and linens were so cozy, i slept like a baby.

The shower door in my room was a bit finicky.

What a gem! the location was perfect, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. We loved the historic architecture and cozy feel of the inn. Bonus points for the friendly and attentive staff!

Our only complaint is that breakfast started a bit later than we prefer. It would have been great to be able to grab a cup of coffee a little earlier in the morning.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a hotel in a great part of town. The hotel was beautifully restored and decorated, exuding Victorian charm. The grounds were attractive and there was ample parking available in the rear. Upon checking in, I was thrilled to be upgraded to a spacious Victorian Suite. Although it was technically just a large room, it was quiet and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail was evident, with an evening turn-down service and a delightful surprise of a chocolate bar on my pillow. The room also had the most exquisite bathroom with a whirlpool tub on the upper level, providing a luxurious touch to my stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring that I had a pleasant experience. Despite a minor inconvenience with the electronic gadgets not working and the restaurant being closed on Sundays, the hotel made up for it by assisting me in making reservations at a nearby restaurant. The breakfast served was outstanding, although a little jam for the mini croissant would have been a nice addition. I had a enjoyable stay and would consider returning in the future.

The location in a great part of town was perfect for exploring and enjoying all that the area has to offer. Additionally, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. The basic amenities provided were exactly what I needed, and the rooms with the whirlpool tub were a luxurious touch. The salon and exquisite bathroom on the upper level were particularly impressive. Lastly, the complimentary breakfast was delicious, with the only small suggestion being the addition of little jars of jam for the mini croissants.

The location was perfect, right on the Main Street within walking distance to restaurants and the farmer's market. The staff were extremely attentive and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

Our First Experience! We have always wanted to dine at this charming inn, as we frequently visit the county. To celebrate our 30th anniversary, we decided to reserve dinner here and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was absolutely fabulous and the servers were warm and inviting. Although there was a small mix-up with my husband's order, the server kindly explained that it was how the chef prepares the dish. Despite that, the overall meal was perfection. Our server even offered us complimentary desserts as a gesture of kindness. We would definitely consider returning to this fine establishment, just with a different dish in mind!

The location of the hotel is perfect, with easy access to a beautiful garden where you can relax with a glass of wine. Plus, it is close to Sandbanks beach, perfect for a day in the sun. The rooms are very clean and attention to detail is impressive. The staff provides excellent service, with a concierge who goes above and beyond to recommend places and things to do. The breakfast is top-notch and the kitchen crew deserves a shoutout for their 5-star cooking.

One downside is that the bed was uncomfortable and slanted to the middle.
