I got great value for my money at Sands On. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, with a nice balcony and a beautiful view. The staff treated us well and were friendly throughout our stay. The location was perfect for a relaxing getaway by the lake.

The breakfast offerings could use some improvement, maybe more variety or freshness.

We had an amazing overnight getaway at Sands! The views of Golden Lake were breathtaking, especially with the snowfall. Our room had a cozy beachy vibe and the bed linens were crisp white. The owner, Craig, went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction after hearing about our dining experience. He even offered us complimentary breakfast, which we enjoyed as coffees and a hot chocolate to-go. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to come back in the summer for more fun in the water and sunsets!

The view from our room was amazing, it overlooked the lake and the surrounding trees were so picturesque. We also enjoyed the cleanliness of the room and the friendly staff. The location was perfect for our trip, it was secluded enough to feel like a relaxing getaway but close enough to amenities we needed.

We were disappointed that there weren't enough dishes in the room for us to use and when we arrived there were quite a few flies which put us off. We found the lighting insufficient in the main area which made it hard to see at times.

I stayed at Sands On for a trip to Algonquin Park. The hotel is conveniently located an hour's drive from both park gates. The staff were helpful and the room was tidy and comfortable, with a beautiful lake view. The on-site restaurant, though closing early, served delicious food at reasonable prices. I particularly enjoyed the sunset views from the beach. I look forward to returning in the summer.
