We had a wonderful winter getaway at The Sleeping Moose. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The woodstove was perfect for cozy nights, and the large patio door windows offered a beautiful view of the waves. We loved watching the wildlife, like the seal, river otter, and birds, right from the picnic table over the beach. The hosts were incredibly kind and the breakfast, soup, and date square were delicious. We can't wait to visit again!

our second stay at the sleeping moose was even better than the first. the hosts went above and beyond, providing us with groceries on easter sunday. the lodge and cabin were incredible, with comfy beds, hot showers, and a stunning ocean view. we absolutely recommend it to everyone visiting cape breton.

The nearby Dancing Moose served delicious meals, beautifully crafted with love. it was a delightful experience.

The cabin itself was really cozy with a stove and a very comfortable bed. It was fully equipped with everything I needed and was spotlessly clean. The Dutch owners also had a cafe nearby with delicious breakfast options like Dutch pancakes with whipped cream.

The location was a bit far from the national park and other towns, so there wasn't much to do if you didn't venture out.

I can't recommend Sleeping Moose Villa enough. It truly is a gem!

We were impressed by their generosity when they provided us with food on Easter Sunday when everything else in town was closed. the ocean view from the lodge and cabin was absolutely stunning, providing a serene and picturesque backdrop for our holiday.

That the hotel is located quite far from the national park and other towns, limiting the options for activities and things to do nearby. Another disappointment was that the ocean view and backyard were not visible from the master bedroom, but only from the living room and bunk bed room.

The breakfast at the nearby restaurant was delicious and filling. It was such a treat to have our own private path to a private ocean view. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The hosts were extremely helpful and the meals were EXCELLENT. We found this beautiful gem for a winter getaway and it exceeded our expectations. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!
