As avid bike riders, we were thrilled to find out that the Varscona Hotel offers bike rentals for guests, allowing us to easily explore the city and the beautiful river valley. The location of the hotel, surrounded by shops, eateries, and a lively atmosphere, was perfect for us as we had everything we needed nearby. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The spacious rooms and comfortable beds ensured a restful night's sleep. And of course, we couldn't forget to mention the superb breakfast that was consistently delicious and varied.

The location was really convenient, close to the university and easy to get to by car. Plus, the breakfast was actually pretty good, with more options than just the usual continental fare. And let me tell you, the mattress in my room was like sleeping on a cloud! So comfortable.

I have to be honest, the bathroom could definitely use some updating. the white marble countertop looked like it had seen better days.

Noisy room first night.

The hotel is conveniently located close to many great restaurants that offer take out and shopping. It is situated in a nice walking area, providing easy access to all the restaurants on Whyte Ave. The breakfast provided was amazing, with a great selection of dishes including roasted tomatoes, hot sauce, eggs, fresh cut fruit, and delicious coffee. The staff at the front desk were super helpful, polite, funny, and kind.

The hotel is located in a wonderful area with many shops and restaurants close by. On Saturdays, there is a Farmer's Market nearby. The service is fantastic and rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable beds and well-stocked bathrooms. Also, the breakfast is great with many options to choose from and there is a Second Cup cafe on site.

The entrance rug could use a bit of an upgrade to give a better first impression.

As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the clean and beautiful rooms, the magical breakfast, and the friendly and professional staff. The availability of breakfast at the hotel was a huge plus for us. The guys who cleaned the 4th floor did an excellent job, and we are very grateful to them.

Love the location! We walked down Whyte Ave and had a great time bar hopping. The room was clean and the view from the window was okay. Everything we needed was right downstairs. The hotel felt secure with the swipe access elevators and keycard entry to the parking. The best thing was definitely the location - it was wonderful. Despite a few minor drawbacks mentioned in other reviews, I would still recommend this hotel. it was a pleasant stay and I would consider staying here again.

Stayed here twice last month, at the start and end of our West Canada roundtrip. Great location on Whyte Ave with easy access to shops and historic area. Super friendly and helpful staff, always willing to provide information about the area. Nice and spacious rooms that were really pleasant and super clean. They even provided bikes to explore the city and beautiful river valley. Enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back.
