The hotel is conveniently located on a very steep slope going down to the sea, making it easy to access Unesco sites in nearby hills and the old center. The rooms are comfortable, with clean sheets and towels, and there is a hearty breakfast included. The staff is friendly and speaks English, providing excellent service. Plus, the hotel offers a magnificent view of the bay.

I was pleasantly surprised by my recent stay at Hotel Ultramar. The view from my room was absolutely stunning, overlooking the bay and providing a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, making me feel comfortable and at ease throughout my stay. The staff went above and beyond to make my experience enjoyable, accommodating all of my needs and even providing helpful suggestions for nearby attractions. The breakfast offered was delicious and satisfying, providing a good start to my day of exploring. Despite being a bit away from the main attractions, the hotel's serene location made up for the distance. I highly recommend Hotel Ultramar for a pleasant and memorable stay.

This hotel captures the atmosphere of Valparaiso perfectly. Situated up in the hills, in a nice residential neighborhood, it offers a wonderful view of the city. The staff provides great service and helpful advice. The rooms are clean and have character, with wonderful views over Valparaiso.

The breakfast spread was good and the staff was wonderful. The hotel had a great view and was quiet during new year festivities. I appreciated the free parking provided by the hotel.

The hotel was located on a hillside which was difficult to walk up repeatedly. , the GPS directions were misleading and complicated.
