The location is perfect, right next to the lake and within walking distance of all the main attractions. The hostel offers great value for money, with affordable food and drinks available. They even organize day trips to popular sights. The room, although a bit dated, was clean and comfortable. it was a friendly and international atmosphere, making it a special place to stay.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and airy, with a clean bathroom. The hotel facilities included a cozy common room where people gather to watch movies in the evening. The breakfast provided was really good and at a good price. The location of the hotel was perfect, right next to the river walkway which we loved, and just across the bridge at the Buddhist temple restaurant. Transportation was convenient as the famous tourist sites and downtown were within walking distance.

The staff is friendly and speaks good English, making communication easy. The rooms are clean and spacious, perfect for a group of friends. We also appreciated the option to book activities, such as the Li River boat tour, at a cheaper price through the hostel.

This hotel's location is fantastic, right next to the "2 rivers and 4 lakes" scenic area and within a 10-minute walk of the famous Sun and Moon Pagodas. It is wonderful for those who want access to shopping or to stroll over bridges and walk along the water and park-like setting. The rooms are incredible, clean, wide, really nicely furnished and decorated. The staff is very professional and friendly, and they were very knowledgeable and arranged lots of stuff for us.

Great staff! They all speak English, help you with any question and are very friendly. You can book your tours with them. Very big rooms and great location. The place is located in the very heart of the city, situated in a walking distance from a number of sightseeing spots , and close to various public transport stations.

The bathrooms could have been kept cleaner. Staff could be quite difficult/couldn't speak English well.

I had a great stay at This Old Place Intl Youth Hostel in Guilin. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. They were fluent in English, making communication easy. The double room I stayed in was quiet, clean, and had all the necessary amenities. The rooftop of the hostel offered a beautiful view of the mountains and the lake. The location was also very convenient, as it was close to the main tourist attractions in Guilin. Additionally, the hostel had its own kitchen and offered delicious Western food. The breakfast menu was varied and included options like eggs, bacon, and coffee. my experience at This Old Place Intl Youth Hostel was excellent and I highly recommend it.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

This hotel is fantastic, with an incredible view of the river. The location is perfect, within walking distance to some attractions and the famous Sun and Moon Pagodas. The rooms are quite nice, and the front lobby area is welcoming. The staff is friendly and helpful, making our stay enjoyable. The basic amenities are provided, and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is also okay, with a decent selection for a good start to the day.
