The hotel's cleanliness and facilities were excellent. We were impressed with the parking availability and the convenient transportation options nearby. The location in a narrow street allowed us to easily walk to several of Beijing's attractions. Staying in a hutong provided a unique experience of living in an ancient Chinese house. Moreover, the breakfast options were delicious, and the staff, especially Joanna, were helpful and engaged in numerous conversations about destinations and transport.

We recently spent our Christmas holiday at this boutique hotel and had a mixed experience. the best aspects were the spacious rooms and the unique ambiance of the hotel. the rooms were larger than expected and provided plenty of space for us to relax. Additionally, the historic charm of the hotel created a cozy and authentic atmosphere.

There were a few aspects of our stay that we were not satisfied with. One of the worst aspects was the lack of security outside the hotel.

Our family with kids had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. We loved the traditional Chinese house design and the antique furniture. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, with European and Chinese options that changed daily. We also enjoyed the cooking class and tai-chi activities.

Had an amazing experience during my New Year stay in Beijing. the hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, with excellent English skills. the room was fantastic - spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. the bed was a bit on the hard side, but that seems to be the norm in China. the breakfast was delicious, with a different menu every day offering both Chinese and European options. the location was perfect, just a 5-minute walk from the subway and surrounded by great restaurants.

The hotel was in a great location, just a short walk from the train station and only one kilometer away from the Great Wall of China. the owner was extremely kind and helpful, making our stay very pleasant. the accommodation was spotless and had a very homely feel to it.

Also, there were limited dining options in the area, so it would be helpful to stock up on food or eat near the Great Wall of China.

Absolutely loved the traditional hutong building and the warm, welcoming staff. They made us feel right at home and helped us settle into Beijing.

The location of Shichahai Sandlwood Boutique Courtyard was excellent, with easy access to public transportation and nearby food options. The hotel staff were helpful and the check-in process was smooth. The room was beautiful and comfortable, with traditional Chinese furnishings. We enjoyed the delicious Chinese breakfast every morning. The hotel also organized a special Dragon Boat Festival celebration, where we learned about Chinese traditions and enjoyed a shadow puppet show. I would highly recommend this hotel for a unique and authentic Beijing experience.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in a quiet traditional neighborhood. The hotel is situated in a beautiful hutong area, allowing me to explore old Beijing's charm. The location is excellent, with easy access to the subway and even within walking distance to the Forbidden City. The cleanliness of the hotel room was impeccable, and the staff provided top-notch service. The breakfast options were varied, with both Chinese and Western choices available.

Excellent interior, two bed options , antique-style rooms. Rooms were well-prepared with flower leaves, wine, and a handwritten postcard. Late breakfast served before late check-out. Friendly staff.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location down a quiet hutong in downtown Beijing made it the perfect starting point to explore the city, including Jingshan Park and the way out of the Forbidden City. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, and the facilities provided were immense. The staff, especially Mr. Seven, were extremely friendly and helpful. They spoke great English and provided us with very personal and kind support throughout our stay. The breakfast offered at the hotel was delicious and a great value for the money. We felt very safe and welcomed in this location, and the hotel even provided transportation options for us.

Wow! This hotel was absolutely amazing! It truly felt like stepping back in time to traditional China. the rooms and facilities were huge and beautifully decorated. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - Mr Seven went above and beyond to assist us with everything we needed. the location was perfect, close to the downtown area and within walking distance of many attractions. I also loved the daily breakfasts, which were delicious and varied each day.

Although the overall experience was fantastic, there were a few minor issues. the sound insulation in the rooms was not the best, so we occasionally heard noises from other guests and staff.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in a traditional area of the heart of the city. The hotel was exceptionally clean and had spacious rooms. The location was perfect, situated in a quiet Hutong area but still close to Qunli Hutong for easy access to food options. The hotel facilities were great, with a beautiful courtyard where breakfast was served. Speaking of breakfast, it was absolutely delicious and offered a choice between Chinese and Western options. The staff were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to assist me during my stay.

Fascinating cultural experience in a historical building in a tranquil environment. Enjoyed the exercise class and ink painting as adults. Loved the architecture and setting of the property. Spacious and comfortable room, especially the basement room which was quiet. Clean and uniquely lovely decor. Perfect location for exploring with nearby eating and shopping options and easy access to the metro. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient luggage storage even after check-out. Delicious breakfast with a variety of options. Free coffee and water. Bigger room than other options in China. Clean bathroom with all necessary amenities.
