I recently stayed at a hostel in Kowloon that was absolutely fantastic. The location was great, with easy access to buses and the MRT station, just a 5-minute walk away. The hostel itself had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, especially the living room/reception area. It felt like home, and there was even a cafe where you could get reasonably priced coffee. The shared bathrooms were sparkling clean and provided complimentary toothbrushes and face wash. The pod concept in the mixed dorm was genius, offering privacy with the shutters and individual lockers. Plus, the duvets on the comfortable beds were nice and thick, unlike many other hostels I've stayed at. I had a wonderful experience at Mahjong.

We had a fantastic stay at The Mahjong in Hong Kong! The best aspects were the clean and comfortable beds, efficient and well-equipped bathrooms, and the convenient location near bus stops to different city areas. We also loved the friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is located in the heart of Kowloon, making it easy to explore this touristy downtown area. Additionally, there are plenty of nearby options for delicious meals at local ChaChan Tengs and a hidden gem of a supermarket called Welcome Mart. The Italian-style breads at Super Gourmet Bakery across the street were also a delightful surprise.

I had a fantastic stay at this hostel. The staff at Mahjong were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. They even messaged me before my arrival to check my estimated time of arrival and provided helpful directions. I also appreciated that they allowed me to store my luggage even after I checked out. The accommodation itself was clean and surprisingly spacious, especially for Hong Kong. The beds were large and comfortable, and I appreciated the availability of sockets and lockers. The common area was also great, and I loved the beautiful art by local artists on the walls. Additionally, the location was convenient for exploring Kowloon.

During our recent stay at The Mahjong, we were impressed by the creative lobby design with unique artwork adorning the walls. The staff was also helpful and provided us with towels for our convenience. The location was perfect, as there were direct buses to various popular destinations in the city. We particularly enjoyed exploring different breakfast places just a few MTR stations away from the hostel. The availability of the Octopus card made getting around easy and convenient. I highly recommend this hotel for its artistic ambiance, friendly staff, and great location.

I had a great value for my money at Mahjong. The room was comfortable and the staff treated me really well. The location was convenient with buses right outside the hostel.

Great location with convenient bus stops right outside the hostel, well-connected to explore the city. Friendly and helpful staff who make you feel welcome. Clean and comfortable female dorm with hair dryer, straighter, and toiletries provided. Common room for mingling and meeting fellow travelers. Nice touch with own space and blinds for privacy.

Felt like treated like royalty, nothing to complain about.

I was in Hong Kong for a week and this hostel was the perfect base for my adventures. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing me with all the information I needed to explore the city. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with clean bathrooms and unique artwork on the walls. The hostel also had a great common area to relax in, with a small exchange library and guidebooks for guests to use. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting!

The living room is a good space for working, hanging out, and eating. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facilities are excellent and very clean. The hostel attracts many solo travelers, making it easy to connect with other people. Free fruit and water add a nice touch to the common area.
