We recently stayed at a warm and friendly hotel in Cartagena, and our experience at Baluarte was exceptional. the premium room we had on the 3rd floor was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. the highlight was the huge and comfortable bed, along with great air conditioning that provided a peaceful and comfortable sleep. the hotel's location was perfect, just two blocks away from the beach and close to the two largest supermarkets. We enjoyed starting our day in the large patio, surrounded by a wonderful tropical tree, where we had a basic but satisfying breakfast of fresh fruits, eggs, and excellent coffee. the staff was very friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to assist us, including bringing us breakfast when we were ill. We also appreciated the fact that the hotel had a quiet and relaxing rooftop area with Jacuzzis and a chillout space, offering a nice view of Bocagrande.

The two complementary drinks we received upon arrival were a nice touch. the location was great, just a short walk to the beach and a quick taxi or bus ride to the historic center. the pool area was enjoyable to relax by during the hot afternoons.

The rooms were in desperate need of updating and cleaning. Our bathroom had an unpleasant odor, there were stains on the sheets and towels, and the air conditioning barely worked.

The hotel's location is highly convenient, as it is close to everything. Guests can easily walk to the nearby ice-cream store and the historical center of the city. there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the vicinity, offering a variety of cuisines.

The hotel is situated in a noisy area, with constant traffic and street noise.

the Hotel San Pietro was a real gem, with its beautiful decor both inside and out. the lobby featured a collection of fascinating ship models that we enjoyed examining. Our room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. the bathroom was fantastic, with a large tiled shower and plenty of counter space. the air conditioning worked well and everything was spotlessly clean. the staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke English fluently. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious breakfast served each morning. We will definitely be returning to Hotel San Pietro.

The Baluarte Hotel had great decor, spacious rooms, and a fantastic bathroom. The bed was super comfortable and the AC worked well. The staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke English. The breakfast was also exceptional. Perfect for families with 2 small kids.

No complaints at all, the staff was always available to assist.

I loved staying at this place because it was located in the heart of the tourist area, making it easy to explore nearby shops and attractions. The room had amazing service, and I was impressed with the housekeeping and grocery shopping service. Additionally, the tours/ticket assistance was extremely helpful in planning my itinerary.
