We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The landscape was beautiful and the room was quiet. The breakfast, in traditional Costa Rican style, was simple but delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hot water in the shower had good pressure, and despite not having a heater, the room was comfortable with plenty of blankets. The hotel provided great opportunities for hummingbird watching and self-guided walks on the trails behind the rooms.

I definitely got my money's worth at this lovely hotel. The room was incredibly spacious and the bed was so comfortable, unlike others I've encountered in Costa Rica. The location was fantastic, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and abundant wildlife. The hikes through the surrounding forest were breathtaking, and we even had the incredible opportunity to spot a Resplendent Quetzal. The serenity of the place brought us inner peace that made the chilly nights worth it. I highly recommend this unique eco lodge for a truly unforgettable experience.

We had a fantastic stay in Toro Amarillo. The location was perfect, offering a peaceful and beautiful setting amidst the cloud forest. The hotel was small and friendly, creating a cozy atmosphere that never felt crowded. It was evident that the hotel was dedicated to research and preservation. The other guests during our stay were avid birdwatchers and photographers, making it a great place for those interested in birding and wildlife. Although the bilingual guide was on leave, the staff went out of their way to offer an alternative guide who took us on a dawn birding walk and was incredibly helpful and enthusiastic. The food at the hotel was delicious, providing a taste of Costa Rican cuisine. And the room was excellent, providing us with comfort and tranquility. it was an excellent choice for nature lovers and bird enthusiasts.
