Surrounded by a tropical forest, I enjoyed stunning views of mountains and the Gulf of Nicoya. The adventure junkie in me had a blast with outdoor activities like rock climbing and ziplining.

Oh, and let's not forget the "convenience" of being 5.1 km away from shops and restaurants. How charming!

the place was a warm and positive surprise. nestled in a picturesque forest, we reserved two cabins for our stay. they were spacious, clean, and offered complete privacy. the staff were incredibly nice and attentive, making us feel welcome and appreciated. breakfast was simple but satisfying. overall, we got great value for the price and definitely exceeded our expectations.

The owners were incredibly kind and always available to assist with anything I needed. The breakfasts were delicious, especially the gallo pinto. I felt truly welcomed and appreciated during my stay. I will definitely be returning to Cabanas la Montana in the future.

We had the most amazing experience at Cabanas La Montana Mountain Lodge! As soon as we opened the curtains, we were greeted with a breathtaking forest view. The peaceful ambiance and the sound of birds chirping made us feel instantly relaxed. The hosts, Mr. Eli and Mrs. Tere, were incredibly warm, friendly, and accommodating. They made us feel welcome and appreciated throughout our stay. The breakfast prepared by Tere was absolutely delicious, with fresh fruit, pancakes, eggs, and more. The cabins were beautifully designed, using local rustic materials, which added to the charm of the place. We even had the opportunity to spot an armadillo passing by our cabin one night! The family that built and runs the business truly made our stay special. we can't wait to visit Cabanas La Montana Mountain Lodge again and highly recommend it to others!

While the location is a bit outside of Santa Elena town, the peacefulness and tranquility of the surroundings more than make up for it. It's a great place to relax and rest.

A warm welcome complete with fresh coffee after a long drive was really great. Tracy and her family are excellent hosts and the cabins are loaded with rustic charm and are very well built - wish we had stayed longer! Breakfast was homecooked and incredible - great little oasis in the forest! The family were wonderful and couldn't have been more helpful for all our needs. Outside of town but only a 20 minute walk and easy if you have a car. Lots of space and beautifully clean. I highly recommend this hotel for its warm hospitality, cozy cabins, delicious breakfast, and convenient location.
