I stayed at El Gato Rojas Surf for 9 nights in Playa Santa Teresa. The surf instructors, Marcos, Rudy, and Carlos, were amazing and helped me improve my skills. The hostel is clean, has A/C, and comfy bunk beds. The open kitchen is great for gatherings and there are affordable prices for board rentals and lessons. Beach access is just across the street, with supermarkets and bakeries nearby. Good internet access. Loved my stay, will definitely come back. Pura vida.

I had a fantastic stay at a surf hostel in Santa Teresa. The house was beautifully kept and had a lovely garden with birds and monkeys. The air conditioner in the room kept me cool and comfortable during the hot days. The outdoor shower was a great bonus. The hostel is conveniently located close to bakeries, the beach, and supermarkets. I also had the opportunity to meet some wonderful fellow travelers during my stay. I highly recommend this hostel for a great experience in Santa Teresa.

I recently stayed at El Gato Rojas Surf in Santa Teresa for a week-long surf trip. The hostel's location was ideal, with Playa Carmen and Playa Santa Teresa just a short walk away. The dorm room I stayed in was cozy and had a cool wooden cabin style. The beds were comfortable, and the AC worked well. The kitchen and common areas were always clean and well-equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful. it was a great hostel for the price, and I loved being so close to the supermarket and The Bakery.

The house was very neat and lovely, with a great outdoor shower. Towels and shampoo were provided. The air conditioner was excellent. The garden was beautiful, with lots of birds and howler monkeys. The location was perfect, just outside of Santa Teresa, and there was a surf spot right in front of the hostel. The tipi was cozy and the bed was super comfy. Surfboard rental was cheap compared to other shops in town.

The owners and staff at this hostel were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made me feel right at home and were always available to help whenever I had a question or needed assistance. the location of the hostel was perfect, just a short walk from the beach, supermarket, and restaurants. I also really enjoyed meeting other travelers and making new friends during my stay.

One downside of the hostel was the cramped living spaces. the rooms were a bit small and the bunk beds were too close together for my liking.

the highlight of my trip was definitely the surf lessons offered by El Gato Rojas Surf. the instructors, including Marcus, Ruddy, Luis, and Oscar. the communal outdoor kitchen was another great aspect of the hostel, as it provided a gathering spot to share drinks and laughs with other guests. the location of the hostel was perfect, just a one-minute walk from the beach. I highly recommend this hostel for backpackers looking to meet wonderful travelers and enjoy affordable accommodations.

I had an amazing time staying at El Gato Rojas Surf. the staff, including the hosts Jana and Marcos, were incredibly friendly and helpful. the hostel offers a variety of accommodations, from cool little cabins/tents for more privacy to regular dorms. the rooms were clean and comfortable, with AC and big beds. the location couldn't be better, right in the center of Santa Teresa, close to the beach, ATM, restaurants. the hostel also offers surfboards for rent and great surf lessons for all levels. the relaxing garden with hammocks was the perfect place to unwind. Plus, the hostel has adorable pets, Luna the dog and Estrella the pig.

For us, it was ideal. 👍

The location was perfect, with a supermarket, bakery/restaurant, and the beach all within a block. the staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. the private room we rented was clean and well-appointed, and the commons area was also well-maintained. We enjoyed renting surfboards from the hostel and exploring the nearby world-famous surfing beach. the atmosphere was laid-back and inviting, and we would definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect, just a one-minute walk to the beach and close to everything we needed. This hostel offers a home away from home experience. The hosts are helpful and friendly. Clean accommodations with well-equipped kitchen and daily cleaning. Close to the beach and shops. Comfortable beds and a nice chill out area.
