Our stay at El Silencio was a perfect introduction to Costa Rican eco-tourism. The activities offered were diverse and enjoyable, including a hike to a stunning waterfall, cooking classes, traditional painting, birding. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The lodge provides umbrellas for rainy days, and if you're feeling trapped by the rain, they will even deliver hot chocolate. The restaurant served fresh, delicious meals. We met wonderful people during our trip, but none were as genuinely friendly as the staff at El Silencio.

Totally recommend this hotel.

We stumbled upon this magical place by accident and ended up staying for longer than planned. The location in the cloud forest is breathtaking, with stunning views and the sound of the river nearby. The rooms are beautiful, with large windows and a patio to enjoy the scenery. The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home. The food is delicious, with fresh ingredients and a mix of Costa Rican and international flavors. The activities, such as horseback riding and nature treks, are a must-try. The spa is incredible, and the Thai massage with Carolina was a highlight. The service at El Silencio Lodge & Spa is outstanding, and we hope it stays small and intimate.

Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.
