The retro surf, shack vibe of this place was so cool! the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. the on, site restaurant and bar had a lively atmosphere, and the food was delicious. Plus, staying in the treehouse was such a unique experience! And guess what? the beach was just a short walk away, which was super convenient.

I must mention that it can get pretty noisy until almost 10 pm, despite the quiet hours being enforced. Also, because of the semi, shared spaces, it can be difficult to find total privacy or peace and quiet.

I had an amazing stay. The hotel had a great location, just a short walk to the beach and surrounded by fantastic restaurants. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with anything I needed. The hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained.

The open rooms were mind-blowing, the good food was super delicious, the great location near the beach was jaw-dropping, the surf rental was amazing, the daily yoga classes were incredible for relaxation. Phillipe and the other dude with the long hair were absolutely amazing- super friendly and would do anything for you. The common area was really nice and relaxing with many spaces to hang out. The lockers were a great feature to keep our personal stuff safe. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place and kitchen were clean. The awesome community space with open mic sessions on some days was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and rental prices for boards were fair. We really enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the place, very relaxed and peaceful. It was a good location for a couple of days staying with family and two kids. Staff were really friendly, rooms were okay, but for family could be better. However, the price/value was absolutely okay. The staff was also great in support. The free wi-fi in public areas, free parking, shared kitchen, bar/lounge area, restaurant.

We got great value for our money at Flutterby House. The room was comfy with a jungle breeze and we could hear birds and monkeys in the morning. The location was perfect, close to the beach and a short ride away from a fun waterfall. The staff treated us really well, they were friendly and helpful.

The breakfast experience could have been better with more variety.

We had an amazing time at this hostel. the location is perfect, just steps away from the beautiful beach. the staff at Flutterby House were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. the facilities were top-notch, with clean and comfortable dorm rooms. We loved the cozy common area and bar, where we could enjoy delicious local craft beer and mingle with other travelers. the hostel also offered surfboard rentals at a great price, which was perfect for catching some waves.

We loved the unique layout of the accommodations, including the cabins, dorms, and tree houses. The kitchen was spacious enough for multiple users, and we appreciated the hostel's commitment to reusing, recycling, and promoting sustainable practices. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, and we enjoyed meeting other travelers who were interested in talking about travel and doing activities together. The food at the hostel was delicious, and the lively bar was a great place to hang out. We were also grateful that the bar shut down by 10, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. Our treehouse bunk was a cozy and comfortable retreat away from the busier areas of the hostel. The location near the beach was a plus as well.

What an amazing experience I had at this hostel! The atmosphere was so positive and vibrant, it truly felt like a mystical jungle getaway. The hostel had everything I needed, from a bar and restaurant to a tour desk and laundry service. The owner Felipe was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. I even got a haircut from the bartender, Jenn, who was a hairstylist from Ontario! The location was absolutely perfect, just a 5-minute walk to a stunning beach and surrounded by amazing restaurants. It felt very safe for me as a solo female traveler. The private La Casa I booked was like a honeymoon suite with its open-air room, private kitchen, and bathroom overlooking the jungle. My wife loved it so much that she said she's spoiled for other hostels now! I can't say enough good things about Flutterby House, it exceeded all expectations!

They offer a variety of events and their breakfast is delicious. The private cabin option is highly recommended, with comfortable beds, mosquito nets, and a lovely patio with a hammock. It's the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the jungle atmosphere.

Some guests complained about sleeping arrangements and noisy late-night activities.
