Everything in this location was just what we needed for our Christmas getaway. the spacious room and almost new bathroom provided comfortable and clean accommodations. the nearby stream added to the pleasant environment, providing a refreshing spot for a swim. the owners were friendly and helpful, ensuring that our stay was enjoyable.

One downside of this location is that it is quite isolated, making it necessary to have your own car to fully appreciate the area. Additionally, the sound of monkeys at night can be quite loud, so I would recommend bringing earplugs.

We had an incredible stay at the lodge! The value for money was great and the room was spacious and clean. The location was perfect, nestled in the wilds with the soothing sound of the river nearby. The staff, especially Lucia, were warm and friendly, making us feel right at home.

The morning meal could have been better.

As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the spacious rooms, new-looking bathrooms, and the fantastic outdoor kitchen and common area. The peacefulness of the surroundings, with the river and wildlife sounds, made it a hidden gem. The nearby river was perfect for a refreshing swim. Finding the place was easy thanks to the big sign with the name Horquetas written on it. The fact that there were only two rooms made it even more special and allowed us to enjoy the pure nature and wildlife around us. The owners were friendly and helpful, showing us around and making us feel at home. The beds were comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked well.

Felt so relaxed, couldn't find anything to complain about.

We got excellent value for our money at the Horquetas River Lodge. The room was spacious and the modern bathroom was a delightful surprise. The location was perfect, surrounded by nature with the peaceful sound of the river and the chance to see and hear the local wildlife. The friendly and accommodating hosts, Lucia and Jorge, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Plus, the opportunity to swim in the refreshing river was a highlight of our visit.

We were able to see and hear howler monkeys and there was a beautiful river nearby where we could swim. the outdoor kitchen was a great feature and we enjoyed sitting and eating in such a peaceful and natural environment.

The drive to the hotel was a bit difficult, as the turning from the main road wasn't obvious or clear. We had to drive slowly and be cautious.

The setting was like a little jungle oasis, surrounded by beautiful nature and a peaceful atmosphere. I enjoyed being able to swim in the nearby river and watch the various bird species that were around. Lucia, the host, was such a lovely woman and went out of her way to provide breakfast for me, even though there was some confusion about it. The cleanliness and comfort of the lodge made my stay even more enjoyable.

One small inconvenience was that only one burner worked on the stove and some of the pans needed to be washed before use. Additionally, it was a bit difficult to find the lodge, especially when arriving in the evening.
