With some small enhancements, such as better towels and pillows, this could be a truly exceptional small hotel. the common areas were comfortable, the tile work was beautiful, and the bright outdoor breakfast area was a delightful spot to start the day. Hotel 1492 provided a pleasant place to rest our heads for the night.

We had a great stay at a small hotel in San Jose. the staff at 1492 were incredibly helpful and friendly. They gave us excellent advice for visiting attractions in and around the city. the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the shower was sufficient. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast and the lovely patio in the middle of the hotel complex.

For dads, it would be great if the hotel had a dedicated play area for children.

Started the new year on the right foot with good complementary breakfast and parking facility. Convenient location near the markets but still in a quiet area. Had enough space in the room for our luggage and to move around.

Although the room was spacious, the bed linen seemed unclean and the window sills were dusty. the towels were not enough and could've been cleaner.

The staff, both the men at arrival and the lady I contacted via email, were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located near a variety of nice restaurants.
