The restaurant pricing was unclear, and the lack of written menus made it difficult to know the costs beforehand.

The cleanliness was top-notch, with the rooms being very clean and spacious. The hotel facilities were great, especially the pool which was refreshing on hot days. The location was perfect, near the lagune and down the Rio Frio river, offering beautiful views and easy access to nature. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome throughout my stay.

we recently stayed in cano negro and had a fantastic time at de campo! the staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, and the owner even gave us an extra room for free. we enjoyed exploring the botanical garden and spotting monkeys in the trees. the highlight was kayaking on the lagoon and seeing an incredible variety of birds.

This hotel offers great value for money, with reasonable prices and attention to detail. Its location right on the edge of the Cano Negro river system, set amidst a beautiful botanical garden, is truly breathtaking. The staff here is friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant stay. The rooms are comfortable with A/C and some even feature water features, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. Additionally, the fact that breakfast is included in the rate is a wonderful perk.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at De Campo in Cano Negro and it was an incredible experience! the accommodations were basic, but comfortable, and the gardens and pool were absolutely lovely. We were surrounded by beautiful birds and even took a breathtaking boat trip where we saw an abundance of wildlife. the staff at De Campo were outstanding and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They even informed us about a sloth in a nearby garden that we could visit. the dinners were delicious and the pool was a refreshing way to end the day. a fantastic stay.

The pool at Hotel De Campo was incredibly refreshing, with constantly refreshed, unchlorinated water. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Mauro's botanical garden and watching wildlife in the nearby rainforest. The breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were decent, and we found the restaurant near the main square to be the best and cheapest option for dinner during our stay.

Spent xmas in a remote birding hotel and it was wonderful! Enjoyed using the complimentary kayaks and exploring the lagoon where we spotted some exotic bird species. We even had the chance to get up close with some monkeys that visited the property regularly. the homemade exotic fruit juices offered were delicious and a real highlight of the stay.

The road to get to the hotel was very bumpy and we had to rent a 4 wheeler to get there, which made the journey even more uncomfortable.

I love staying at this hotel with a swimming pool close to the wetlands. The location is perfect, right next to the police station near the main square. The pool is a great place to relax after a day of birding on the river and in the area. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious, and the view of the lagoon is breathtaking.

The wifi is extremely limited and slow.

We had an amazing stay at De Campo! the pool and room were fantastic, and the restaurant meals were delicious. the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hotel's location on the lagoon was perfect for exploring. We loved the kayaks and canoes available for rent, and the boat tour was definitely a highlight. the wildlife in the area, including birds and caimans, exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to come back during the wet season for even more amazing experiences. 🌴🐦🚣‍♀️
