Little cabins that feel like you’re in the middle of the jungle with all the comforts of a nice hotel, comfortable beds, hot showers, friendly staff, beautiful gardens, private hiking trails.

As active travelers visiting Monteverde for the parks/reserves, El Bosque was the perfect place for us. The beautiful setting, daily room cleaning, and self-serve breakfast provided everything we needed. The view of the jungle from our bed was a unique and memorable experience. Daniel, the hotel staff, was incredibly helpful and efficient in arranging our activities. The nearby coffee shops and restaurants added to the convenience and enjoyment of our stay. We were comfortable and happy throughout our time at El Bosque.

I recently stayed at a lovely lodge in Monteverde. The staff were incredibly helpful and spoke perfect English, giving us great suggestions for activities and organizing taxis for us. The location was perfect, close to the cloud forest reserve and with plenty of bird-watching opportunities right on the premises. The rooms were basic but comfortable, with a hot shower and fridge. I especially loved the buffet breakfast, which was delicious and filling. a great value for the price!

I was fortunate to have room 26 with a stunning forest view. The full windows at the back of the room allowed me to fully enjoy the wilderness feel. My kids had a great time exploring and spotting wildlife. The hotel's wildlife tour and chocolate/coffee/sugarcane tour were fantastic. I truly enjoyed my visit to this hotel. Despite a few minor issues, I highly recommend it.

thin walls between rooms

Wow, what a green paradise after a dusty bumpy ride! The location is perfect, offering easy access to both cloud forests. The serenity of the place is truly remarkable, providing a peaceful getaway. The staff, particularly Daniel and Joshua, were excellent and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Plus, it's convenient to walk to fantastic food and coffee nearby!

The road up to the mountain is bone shaking, but unfortunately, nothing can be done about it. Additionally, there are no chairs in the room, leaving guests with nowhere to sit except on the bed.

Great Value Lodges in a Beautiful Setting

We recently stayed at a no-frills hotel nestled on the edge of a stunning rainforest. The small lodges were comfortable and provided everything we needed for a good night's rest. The highlight of our stay was the guided bird and mammal walks, where we got to explore the hotel's own grounds and witness incredible wildlife. The peaceful atmosphere, with only the sounds of nature, made for a truly immersive experience. The breakfast buffet offered a variety of hot and cold options, ensuring we started our day off right.

The staff were friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable.

Stayed at Hotel El Bosque in Monteverde for a few days with my family. The location was perfect - peaceful and surrounded by nature. The staff member we contacted before arrival was extremely helpful and organized activities for us. The rooms were comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. The breakfast was delicious and the hotel had a beautiful walking trail on site. Parking was convenient and we were able to see lots of wildlife on the property. Would definitely stay here again!
