We stayed at El Descanso for a few nights on our way to Costa Rica. The location was perfect, just a street off the main road and a short walk to the famous mercado centrale. The staff was kind and helpful, arranging our airport transfer at a fair price. The room was clean, cheap, and had plenty of storage space. Plus, there was a cheap and friendly Soda right below the hotel.

We had a great experience at a clean, quiet, and inexpensive hotel. the staff at El Descanso was friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed having access to an English channel on TV, something we hadn't had in a month and a half. There were also several cheap eating places and a convenient market nearby. it was a perfect location for us, with a safe neighborhood and easy walking distance to main attractions and facilities like banks and grocery stores. We'll definitely be coming back before our flight home.

The hotel was also close to the bus terminal, making it easy for us to travel around. The room was clean and comfortable, with the staff being kind and helpful. They even assisted us with printing documents and finding places to eat.

The walls were not well-insulated, and we could sometimes hear voices from other rooms.

This little dorm type room was immaculate and had a comfortable bed. the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially in helping my husband book bus tickets to Tamarindo. the location was perfect, with a safe neighborhood and easy walking distance to the main street with restaurants and shops. We felt very safe during our stay and loved the convenience of being close to the bank for money exchange. a great experience and we will definitely be coming back before our flight home.

The room was clean and had a TV, and we slept very well in the comfortable bed. There was also plenty of storage space for our belongings. The location of the hotel was perfect, situated in a safe and calm neighborhood, right in front of the police station. It was also conveniently close to the terminal for the airport bus and the main street where we could find car rentals.

We were able to easily walk to the airport bus terminal in just 10 minutes, which made our travel plans very convenient. the rooms were simple and comfortable, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

The hotel provided a clean and inexpensive option for our short stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to enjoy watching English channels on the TV, which was a rare treat after being without for a month and a half. There were also affordable dining options and a nearby market that opened early, catering to the nearby hospital crowd.
