Located close enough to an incline in the highway below, Hotel Lookout Playa Tortuga offers stunning views of the ocean from its rainforest setting. The rooms are simple, but brightly decorated and clean, with venetian windows and ceiling fans to keep guests cool. The staff is polite and efficient, providing helpful information about the area and happily supplying ice upon request. The grounds are well-manicured and attract a variety of birds. The $8 breakfast buffet offers a tasty variety of eggs, rice and beans, fresh fruit, toast, and cheese.

There are midges that come out at dusk, making it unpleasant to sit around the pool during that time.

I recently had a great stay at a hotel with awesome views. The location of this hotel on top of a hill was perfect, as it offered breathtaking views of the ocean. The sunsets were absolutely amazing, and I felt like I had my own private garden with an ocean view. The staff, including Orlando and Abdul, were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. The rooms were simple and clean, and I was pleased to have a room with air conditioning and a nice large shower. The breakfast provided was sufficient, with a variety of fruits and daily changing plates. Additionally, the hotel was conveniently close to fabulous restaurants and the beach, adding to the overall convenience and enjoyment of my stay.
