Our stay at Mar Y Mar was amazing! We were pleasantly surprised by the charming and well-made property. The beach just across the street was a beautiful bonus. The family that runs the hotel was incredibly sweet and welcoming. They even went out of their way to walk me to the bus station. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the constant cleaning by the staff was impressive. I highly recommend this hidden gem for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Fantastic family-run hotel with safe parking, delicious breakfast, and a lovely pool. Across from a gorgeous beach. The restaurant, "The Moon," has amazing dishes at reasonable prices. The staff, especially Bob and Marta, are welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended!

As a guest, I loved the cozy, guest-house feel of Mar Y Mar. The breakfast time was flexible and personalized just for us. The staff and manager were welcoming. They helped find a boat tour with snorkeling, monkeys, and island lounging. The included breakfast was excellent Costa Rica fare. Don't miss the cafe for at least one dinner, flavors were outstanding. Good value for the money.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making my experience very enjoyable. They even brought me a refreshing coconut to the beach upon my arrival. The beachfront location, with a pool, was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. I also enjoyed a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant, with outstanding ceviche and excellent service. The breakfast offered a great selection, including eggs, rice and beans, and fresh fruit. The hotel was clean and the rooms were well air-conditioned. the best aspects of this hotel were the friendly staff, beachfront location, and delicious food.

Our family had a fantastic time staying at this hotel during our trip to the Nicoya Peninsula. The location was perfect, just a short distance from the car ferry to Paquera. It was great to be so close to the beach, and we enjoyed the peaceful and safe oasis away from the busy city life. The room we stayed in was lovely, with tasteful decorations and a big balcony. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. The breakfast served in the snackeria was delicious, and there was a nice clean pool to enjoy.

We did encounter some difficulty finding the hotel in the dark. It would be helpful if there were better signs or lighting to make it easier for guests to locate the property.
