The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they went above and beyond to provide assistance and make our stay enjoyable. We were particularly impressed with their knowledge of the local area and their willingness to share recommendations for activities and attractions. we appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel, with both the rooms and the communal areas being well-maintained. The presence of a fully equipped kitchen was also a great advantage, allowing us to prepare our own meals and interact with other guests.

One minor downside was the location of the hotel, which was a bit further from the main bus station. While this did make it a bit less convenient to access transportation, we found that the slightly quieter location was actually quite nice and helped us to relax.

We were amazed by the warm and friendly welcome we received at La Palmera Real Lodge. Despite the language barrier, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. They organized a last-minute tour and even arranged a shuttle for us. Katherine, in particular, was so caring and made sure we felt safe and looked after. Her kind gesture of preparing a to-go box of fruit for our early departure truly touched our hearts. The level of hospitality here is outstanding!

The mattress in our room next to the back exit. It was too soft and we found ourselves sinking in too low, making it uncomfortable to sleep and recover during the day.

The location of the lodge offers a calm and relaxed setting, perfect for a peaceful stay. Guests can enjoy the company of various bird species in the backyard, providing a unique experience. The friendly host provides valuable tips and recommendations, making guests feel welcome. the rooms are clean and comfortable, with amenities such as AC and a fridge, providing convenience for families with small children.

We recently stayed at La Palmera Real Lodge for a few days during our trip to Costa Rica. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the cleanliness of the accommodation was impressive. The location, just outside of downtown, allowed us to experience the everyday life of local families, which was fascinating. The hotel's surroundings were also beautiful, with a large garden, a small river, and plenty of trees. We even had the chance to see a sloth during our stay. we highly recommend this hotel for its clean interior and stunning natural setting.

This place was perfect for us as backpackers. The outdoor seating area was lovely, and we enjoyed cooking our own meals in the large kitchen. The location was quiet and in a community district, which made it even more relaxing. The poolside area was great for unwinding, and the decent breakfast with traditional options was a nice touch. The staff was friendly and even washed a batch of our clothes. The help from Hugo in arranging attractions was fantastic!

The hair salon at the lodge was absolutely fabulous. I also enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool, especially when I saw a parrot while having breakfast.

Who needs a fully equipped kitchen when you can have a "very simple" one? It's all about roughing it, darling.

I had an amazing stay at this lodge! the common area with the kitchen was my favorite spot, and the garden outside with the river passing by was absolutely beautiful. It was so peaceful and filled with birds, making it a perfect place to relax. I also enjoyed the fact that the lodge is located a little further from the busy center, as it felt safer and more lively being surrounded by locals. the room was stunning and impeccably clean, and the owners were incredibly kind and helpful. They even assisted us with fixing our car and ordered food for us. the location was great too, with a nice view of the volcano. All in all, the price was definitely worth the wonderful experience!
