Playa Nicuesa is a real secluded gem in the middle of the jungle. The food is incredible, with the freshest ingredients from their own garden. The staff is outstanding, knowledgeable about the wildlife and always willing to assist. The tours are top-notch, with guides who spot and point out marine life and wildlife. The location on the edge of the Piedras Blancas National Park provides a true nature experience. The tree house-style rooms and overall ambiance speak of the hotel's sustainability efforts and respect for nature. The beach is peaceful and the convenience of paddle boards and kayaks is a bonus.

The food was incredibly delicious and probably the freshest that I have ever experienced during a vacation. They would catch a fish during the day on a fishing trip and have it prepared for dinner that night. The staff was outstanding and very helpful. They were always smiling and willing to assist with any questions/needs that we had.

We were surprised that there was no way to lock our room. We were told this is because it is a "family".

The guided tours were top-notch, with knowledgeable guides pointing out fascinating wildlife and marine life. Being right on the edge of the Piedras Blancas National Park allowed us to truly experience nature. This was definitely the highlight of our trip, and I can't recommend staying here enough!

On our first day, there was a large group of non, resident tourists taking up the main dining area, which made us feel like the lodge was less exclusive and off the beaten track. However, we were assured that this was not the norm and it only happened once during our stay.

I can't say enough good things about our stay at this amazing jungle retreat! The value for money was incredible and our room was cozy and comfortable. The location was absolutely stunning, surrounded by nature and just a stone's throw away from the beautiful beach. The staff treated us like royalty, with impeccable service and a warm, friendly attitude throughout our stay.

As a light sleeper, I appreciated the peaceful and secluded location of Playa Nicuesa. The dense foliage and sounds of the jungle created a serene and calming atmosphere.

The location is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views of the surrounding nature. the boat ride to the lodge was an adventure in itself and we even got to see dolphins during the ride. the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any questions or needs. The location was absolutely incredible, nestled right in the heart of the jungle. The views were breathtaking and I felt completely at one with nature. One of the highlights of my stay was being able to take out the paddle boards and kayaks for free and explore the beautiful beach. It was such a unique experience and I felt a real sense of tranquility and relaxation.

I will say that the hot water in the shower could have been a little better, but I understand that we are in the jungle and these things are to be expected. There was also one occasion where a large group of non-resident tourists were having lunch in the main dining area, which took away from the exclusive and off-the-beaten-track feel of the hotel.

Our stay at Playa Nicuesa was worth every penny. The room was fantastic, with a comfortable bed and a beautiful view of the forest. The location was simply breathtaking, immersed in nature and surrounded by wildlife. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, always friendly and attentive.
