The resort is located right on the marina, making it convenient for boat trips and water activities. The staff is very attentive and the room cleaners do a superb job, ensuring a sparkling clean and fresh-smelling room. The breakfast included is pretty good, offering a variety of options such as rice with beans, scrambled eggs, and fresh fruits. Additionally, the pool is a great feature, loved by the whole family and providing a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

The city surrounding the resort does not offer much in terms of attractions or street vendors, limiting outside activities.

The pool at Puerto Azul Resort & Club Nautico was fantastic. It was clean and well-maintained, and my family and I had a great time swimming and relaxing there. The location of the hotel was also convenient, with easy access to San Jose.

During my recent stay at a delightful hotel in Puntarenas, I was captivated by the grandeur of the marina and the breathtaking view of the ocean from the Penthouse apartment. Although the decor was a little dated, the spaciousness of the apartment easily accommodated our group of nine without feeling crowded. We especially enjoyed the traditional Costarician breakfast, which consisted of rice, plantains, eggs, and cheese. The multi-level pool was immaculately clean and perfect for both adults and children. The hotel also arranged a memorable boating tour through the nearby mangroves, where we had the chance to see crocodiles up close. I highly recommend this hotel for its stunning location and resort-like feel.

We loved being away from the downtown area and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff who were always willing to help. The room was spacious and clean, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast and the tasty meals we had at the restaurant. this place provided enhanced comfort and quality services that exceeded our expectations.

While the hotel had its positive aspects, there were a few downsides. Furthermore, the hotel lacked certain amenities such as proper mosquito protection and equipment for activities like tennis and volleyball.

Almost perfect

We had a great experience at this luxurious hotel. The 24hr. security guard made us feel safe and secure. The pool was amazing, and we loved being able to enjoy dinner while our son swam in front of us. The staff at the front desk were friendly and spoke excellent English. The hot breakfast included in the room fare was delicious. The drinks at the bar were reasonably priced. The location of this place next to the marina was perfect for exploring the seaside town and going on boat adventures. We also enjoyed the authentic atmosphere and cultural performances during our stay.

We highly recommend this hotel to others.
