Great location just a short walk from an amazing beach, perfect for surfers. Friendly owners and staff who were always helpful and welcoming. Nice and clean pool area with plenty of chairs to relax on.

The wifi was very unreliable and often slow when it did work. It even stopped working completely during our stay.

Convenient location, beach access, friendly staff, cute pool and garden, pleasant ambiance.

This was our first trip to Playa Grande and we had a wonderful time at Sugar's Monkey. The owner and staff were exceptional, making us feel welcome and taken care of throughout our stay. The pool, restaurant, and lounge area were perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. The location of the hotel was ideal, just a short 3-minute walk to the beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with reliable Wi-Fi and air conditioning. We also appreciated the special attention to detail in the hotel's decor and ambiance.

The staff at the hotel were fantastic and made me feel really welcome. the decor and ambience of the hotel were really great and showed a lot of thought and effort. the location of the hotel was perfect, just a short walk to the beach. the breakfast at the hotel was delicious and they had a great selection, especially the refreshing smoothies.

There were construction sites near the hotel which caused a lot of dust and noise during the day, making it difficult to relax. the rooms had thin walls and floors, and the creaking and shaking was very annoying, especially when trying to sleep.

We stayed at Sugars Monkeys in Playa Grande for a week and had an amazing time. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and close to other popular destinations like Tamarindo and Playa Concha. The hotel had a cozy and pleasant ambiance, perfect for a couple's getaway. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious and convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We also loved the opportunity to rent surfboards and explore the beautiful surroundings. Sugars Monkeys provided great value for the price we paid.

I stayed at Sugar's Monkey for two weeks and would definitely stay there again. The hospitality was amazing and the location was perfect. The breakfasts were delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel had a cool surfers' vibe and the atmosphere was laid back. The pool was awesome and there were plenty of lounges to relax on. The management was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!
