As someone who loves being in direct touch with nature, Sunset Shack was an ideal choice. The property is surrounded by mango trees and frequent visits from monkeys, creating a truly immersive experience. The clean rooms, saltwater pool, and spacious patio added to the charm. The included breakfast with many delicious options was a delightful start to the day. Additionally, the onsite restaurant, Al Chile, served excellent lunch and dinner, complemented by refreshing drinks. The surfboard locker by the pool was a convenient perk. Plus, the location only a short walk away from Playa Guiones made it easy to explore.

Loved the location of this hotel - it was perfectly situated right next to the beach and within walking distance of great restaurants like Al Chile. The staff were incredibly helpful and made our stay feel special, especially with attentive service and the AC in our room. Best of all, breakfast was included with the rate, and it was amazing!

The breakfast was awesome, unlimited. Salt pool with no chlorine smell. Wild iguanas and howler monkeys. Amazing, helpful reception staff. Great location.

Great value for money and staff were really friendly. the rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. It was nice to have complimentary towels and toiletries. the location was perfect, only a short walk to the beach and surrounded by beautiful scenery.

There were a lot of dogs roaming around without a leash which made it difficult to drive around. the sand was really hot on the tide line so make sure to bring some old flip-flops.

We stayed in a room that was just a short walk away from the beach, which was amazing. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and a small kitchen area. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was tasty. We also enjoyed the saltwater pool and the beautiful greenery on the grounds.

The restaurant on-site only specialized in Mexican food, so if you wanted something different, you had to go elsewhere.

Plus, the lady outside the parking lot selling cold coconuts was a great find. I had an amazing time and would definitely stay here again.

Sunset Shack exceeded my expectations in every way. the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout my stay. the restaurant at the hotel was top-notch, offering delicious freshly made breakfasts and a wide variety of lunch and dinner options. the room was beautifully decorated with a thoughtful kitchenette and complimentary coffee and tea. the bed was comfortable, and the air-conditioning and ceiling fan provided excellent circulation. the pool was clean and a perfect place to relax. I also had the pleasure of enjoying live music one night, and the band was incredible.
