The morning meal could use more variety.

We thoroughly enjoyed our five-night stay at a charming hotel that offered a novel experience. the pool area was lovely, and the proximity to a beautiful beach for sunset walks was a highlight. the live music evenings and delicious food added to the overall ambiance. the tropical garden setting was exceptional, and the in-house cuisine was top-notch. the friendly staff, comfortable room, and entertaining Sunday music event made our stay truly memorable.

A lovely, peaceful getaway! I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The on-site restaurant served tasty food, and breakfast was excellent. I highly recommend trying their pina coladas as well! The pool area was clean and cool, and there were plenty of comfortable seating options. The location was perfect, away from the busyness of Tamarindo but still close enough to visit if desired. Grateful Hotel provided a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Our stay at Grateful was amazing. The breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere had a nice and relaxed vibe. We especially enjoyed the music event on Sunday, it added a fun touch to our stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We also appreciated the presence of a safe. The location of the hotel was perfect for us - away from the busy Tamarindo but still easily accessible. The pool was a great bonus, providing a refreshing break from the beach. it was a lovely and peaceful getaway.

We loved our stay at The Grateful Hotel in Playa Grande. It was a novel experience with a very nice pool area. The location was perfect for us - away from the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo, but close enough to visit if we wanted. The staff were nice and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great, and we enjoyed the live music events. a wonderful stay.

No 😞 drinks were expensive, so bring your own for your room or patio.

While the restaurant had great food, the service was a bit inconsistent. There were times when the dishes came out cold or there were delays in receiving orders.

I had a fantastic time at this adorable and super fun inn located near Tamarindo. The owners, Phil and Denise, made sure every aspect of my stay was perfect, including incredible live music almost every night. The cozy and Grateful Dead inspired atmosphere added a unique touch to my experience. The pool area was lovely, and the cocktails by the pool were delicious. The comfortable bed and plentiful breakfast were also highlights. I highly recommend this inn for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

Although the communication with the staff wasn't always positive, it didn't overshadow the overall experience. Additionally, the remote location might not be suitable for those looking for a wide variety of food options.
