my recent stay in willemstad was fantastic, but first curacao exceeded all my expectations. the helpful staff, convenient location, and great amenities made my trip unforgettable. from the modern facilities to the lovely pool area, everything was perfect for letting kids play safely.

Slow check-in process.

We had a simply horrible experience at First Curacao Hostel. The check-in process was slow and painful, with no cover from the scorching sun for guests. We booked a private room but were given a dorm room with a bunk bed, which I hit my head on twice. The room was small and inadequate for two people. The lockers in the room couldn't be locked, and there was no daylight coming in. The air conditioning was too powerful and couldn't be adjusted, leaving us freezing during the night. The facilities were not properly monitored, with a flooded toilet area left unattended. The on-site mini-mart and cafe/restaurant were overpriced. The location was isolated from the main attractions in Punda. it was a very disappointing stay.

Conveniently located "village" with beach, market, pools, and bars. Kitchen lacks cooktop but has watercooker for budget meals. Good breakfast with protein options. Affordable price allows more people to stay. Friendly and efficient staff.

I spent a fantastic week at First Curacao. It's like a little village with its own beach, supermarket, dive shop, pools, and bars. The staff was friendly and helpful, always available for any questions or help. The morning breakfast with a lovely pool view was my favorite. The hostel is perfect for female solo travelers, with a safe and clean environment.

I recently stayed at First Curacao and had a fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, assisting me with finding my way around the island. The hostel is in a great location, just a short walk from the bus station and close to Mambo Beach. The room was clean and comfortable, and I even had the bonus of having bunk beds all to myself. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were conveniently located and well-maintained. I also loved the little details, like the white bag provided that was perfect for keeping all my bathroom essentials organized. The tables and benches outside the room were a nice touch, and the jacuzzi with a nearby shower was a great bonus. I highly recommend this hotel.

The air conditioning in the room was great! It kept the room cool throughout my stay. Another positive aspect was the use of the swimming pool, which was available for all guests, including hostel guests. the option to store luggage and take a shower before leaving, even if you have a late flight, was a convenient feature.

One drawback was that the door to the room had mosquito netting on the bottom instead of being completely closed, which made it feel like a waste of energy as the cold air escaped. the lack of cooking plates in the kitchen was a inconvenience for those who wanted to cook their own meals.
