During my stay at Hostal Cerro Azul, I had a fantastic experience exploring the nearby Sierra Negra volcano. The friendly and helpful hosts went the extra mile to organize an amazing tour for me. I was pleasantly surprised to find a welcoming drink waiting for me on arrival, which was a thoughtful gesture. The clean and spacious room, along with the nice bathroom, provided a comfortable stay. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to the main square made it convenient to explore the town. The free wifi and water refiller were a great bonus. I highly recommend this hotel for its value for money and excellent service.

The location is very convenient, with the hostel being close to main restaurants and a little bit of a walk to the lagoon. Additionally, it has a shared kitchen that is relatively well equipped.

The kitchen facilities were very poor, with no coffee/tea making facilities or even a kettle.

This weekend getaway was enjoyable, with a convenient location close to shops and restaurants. Rooms were cleaned daily and equipped with a good air conditioning system, ensuring a comfortable stay. We also appreciated the friendly and welcoming staff who went out of their way to provide helpful local tips for making the most of our time in the area.

Although the rooms were mostly clean, we were disappointed to find that there were no mini fridges in the rooms. We also found the lack of lids on the trash cans in the bathroom to be unsanitary, and the tap water too salty to drink, which meant purchasing bottled water.
